- I find a midi or use sheet music to make the music file in Sonar.
- Using Sonar I orchestrate the file and add soundfonts and get it so it's right.
- I mute the flute part and open Cool Edit.
- I record "what you hear" with Cool edit while playing the file in Sonar.
- In Cool Edit I normalize the wave to 99% and add 6 blank seconds at the beginning and 30 at the end.
- I save the file as an mp3.
- I go back to Sonar and delete all tracks except the flute.
- I un-mute the flute part and safe the file as a type 1 midi (need the tempo).
- Open the midi in Finale and edit it so it's clear and simple.
- Print the sheet music as a pdf and save the file.
- In Finale I make the music 130% and the score 130% and Fit the music to it's easy to read.
- In Finale make the page size 8.5X100.
- Using Snagit I record the video of the sheet playing in Finale and save the .avi.
- I write down the staff numbers of page changes, then using Snagit take snapshots of only those staffs and save as .jpg's.
- I open Proshow and put in the avi of the music and fade in each jpg as required, along with the backing mp3 I made in Cool Edit.
- I fiddle a lot in ProShow to make everything fit together.
- Make a big Avi in proshow of the video sheet music
- Using Jet Audio I shrink the big avi to a more manageable size.
- Upload shrunk avi and put up backing mp3 and pdf onto my download page.
